Almost there!!

Dales Sport will put down the carpet this week.

Hopefully, the weather will be kind this week and allow the final touches to the green to be finished.

Photos below of the surface which had has been checked for levelness during the past week.

One more week and we should be able to get playing on our new green.

Today saw more layers of bitmac go down, even though weather was a bit mixed.

Finishing touches and final level checking by Friday

A lot has happened on the green today.

The fine layer of particulate was applied to the top of the hardcore.

Then the first of three layers of bitmac was applied.

Over the next couple of days the final two layers of Bitmac will go down.

Tomorrow is a big day for Irene as she has the unfurling of the IWBA flag at our new green.

It is a great honour for Irene and Knock Bowling club. To have been appointed as President of the Irish Women’s Bowling Association (IWBA), is the highest office in Irish Ladies bowls.

We wish her a very successful and enjoyable year.
