Thanks again to our resident photographer Ron McBride for the collage of photos he took during our 12th July tournament.

Message from our Hon. Secretary:
If you are interested perhaps you would, if you haven’t already done so, complete one of the forms in the clubhouse or inform a member of committee as the trip will be discussed at our next committee meeting
You will not be making a commitment at this stage – you will only be expressing interest.
Many thanks.
Mary

As usual a tournament for all is being held on Thursday 12 July – participants to sign in by 2 pm.
Following the tournament hot dogs, shortbread, tea/coffee will be served in our pavilion (function rooms in clubhouse closed on public holidays). Cost is £5 for the tournament and £5 for food.
Please enter your name on the list which is on the ladies noticeboard – get your name down early (by 1 July at the latest) as numbers are limited and you will not wish to miss out on what is always a very enjoyable day. Please tick the appropriate columns to show if you are playing in the tournament and/or staying for food.

We had a great morning last Saturday with the start of the coaching at CI-Knock.
We were blessed with a super dry and warm morning and a total of 26 new bowlers.
Many trying it for the first time. A good time was had by all.
Tell your friends and neighbours to come along any Saturday morning between now and the end of June to try bowls.
All they need is flat shoes. Bowls will be provided.

Today we had the annual Men vs Ladies game to mark the start of the new seasons league games.
Thanks to Pat Smyth for the photo below. Nearly May and we have hailstones covering the green 15 mins before the start, then sunshine, then rain, then more hailstones, then more rain and a little sunshine. Don’t you just love this summer sport.
It was great to see all 6 rinks full of players. Not that it matters but this year the contest was won by the men. I am assured the cup is only on loan until next year.
Wishing all our teams, mens and ladies all the best of luck for all our games this season.
