Bowling starting on 8th June

Hi Everyone
Due to the lifting of Lockdown  Restrictions, bowling will commence  at CI Knock on Monday 8th June.

Thanks are due to Colin for all his hard work in preparing the Guidelines etc … and to  Charlie and his volunteers who are available to set up the rinks each day.
Please make sure you have read all the Guidelines and information already sent out to you.

Please note:
1.     You are not permitted to play if you have not paid your CI levy.
2.    You must pre-book a rink on the CI Knock Rink Diary Rink System online … if you cannot do this, ask another member to do it for you.        All of the names of those playing must be entered in the Diary.
3.    You will need your fob to gain entrance to CIYMS as the main gate will be locked.
4.    Please change in to your bowling  shoes before entering the main gate at CIYMS.
5     The entrance to the Green is by the far gate only, and this will be left open all day.
6.    There will be no toilet facilities as the Pavilion will be closed.
FINALLY … ENJOY YOUR BOWLING
Nan

Message from our President.

Good morning all,

I hope you have received the email from Nan announcing that subject to approval, bowling will start again from Monday 8th June, though at present under very different conditions.

I know lots of you are keen to get started and the instructions to enable those of you who wish to and to do so safely are in attachments to the email. Please, as requested, read them carefully so that you are aware of how to keep yourselves and others safe.

We have had great bowling weather recently and I hope it continues so that you can enjoy both your bowls and some social contact again. I would love to have been able to be at CI-Knock to welcome you back to the club but unfortunately, present restrictions don’t allow it, however, I hope you enjoy being back on the green, able to participate again in the sport we love.

I know some will be wary for different reasons about starting again but hopefully, in the weeks ahead we will be able to get back to some sort of a “new normal” and everyone will feel confident enough to step back onto the green. To those eager to start again now, welcome back, good bowling and stay safe.

Love and warm regards to all

Irene

Opening of green-8th June

Hi everyone
Good news for those who are really looking forward to getting back to Bowling at CI Knock. Subject to approval from the NI Executive on the 4th June the Green will re-open on Mon 8th June.
This will be Bowling in a restricted fashion
SO … lots of homework to do before 8th June … please find 5 attachments giving you instruction and Guidelines on the website under ‘RINK BOOKING’ and ‘COVID 19’ tabs. Read, learn, and inwardly digest this information before going to the green.

A few things to remember:
You must book a rink online beforehand … if you cannot make the booking ask someone else to make a booking for you.   All player’s names must be added to the booking.

You will need your fob to gain entry as the main gate will be closed.
Access to the Green is by the far gate ONLY and this will be left open all day.

If you have not paid your CI levy you will not be allowed to play.
Thanks to Colin for gathering and compiling the information and setting up the booking system. If you have any queries about registering or booking contact Colin on 07885 930613.
Happy bowling
Nan

Sad News

To all members
I just heard yesterday that Herbie Crooks was unwell and in Hospital.
Sadly he passed away this morning.
He had been a member for a few years and had played on the Midweek and Vets teams.
He will be remembered for his dry wit and will be missed by all who knew him.
Our sympathy and thoughts are with his wife and family.
