CI Knock Open Day

If you have been up at the club recently, you can’t have failed to notice the Pavement Sign Board promoting our Open Day this Saturday 11th May.

This note is to remind you all that this massive effort organised by the various bowls organisations will be happening in all bowling clubs across the country and is primarily designed to allow clubs to introduce friends and family to the game. No league matches will be played this weekend.

We are encouraging as many members as possible to support the event which will start at 10 am and run through until late afternoon. Our coaches will be in attendance and if you are bringing a friend , all equipment will be supplied. All they will need is flat shoes or trainers.

Please roundup your friends and family and drop in sometime on Saturday with them, where a warm welcome awaits and maybe even a cuppa.

If you are a coach , it’s hoped you can be there to assist especially during the afternoon period.

Looking forward to meeting new friends on Saturday and maybe some who will become new members.

Many thanks

Louis

Nan McBride elected as NIWPGL President for 2024

To all members

This morning at a meeting in the Stewart Room I had the privilege of nominating Nan as President of the Northern Ireland Women’s Private Greens League (NIWPGL), a ladies bowling association of which CI Knock is a member. It is a great honour for Nan and CI Knock and will be a very important but enjoyable year for our club. We will be hosting several special events including the unfurling of the Association flag in April, and Cup and competition finals at the end of the season. She will need the support of the whole club, especially the ladies and I know you will all be behind her. She is the fourth member of the Club to have this honour and I know she will do us proud and prove to be an excellent ambassador for us.
