Happy New Year everyone.
Despite all the recent rain, work on our new green and pavilion is still progressing. The picture above is how it looks this morning.
The new entrance is now in place and has its first layer of tarmac.
Current work is around the hardcore for the green and concrete foundations for the pavilion.
By now most members should have received their CIYMS membership card.
Why not pop in and have a drink in the bar and have a look around.
It’s official!!
Last night was the first AGM of the new bowling section of CIYMS.
Knock BC have moved across to Circular road and are currently building a new state of the art artificial bowling green at the front of the CIYMS main pavilion.
The new section Ci(Knock) BC is made up from both Ladies and Gents and last night appointed the first set of officials and Executive committee to administer the new section.
We all look forward to next March when we should be delivering the first bowls on our new bowling green.
What a week!
Sandra along with her playing partners Erin Smith and Bernie O’Neill has been representing Ireland in the Atlantic Rim Championship in Cyprus.
Earlier today they won the Triples competition and Gold medal.
Congratulations to the girls on a fantastic win against a very strong English triple.
Despite some pretty wet weather the work on our new green has progressed well.
I hope they remember to move the diggers off Rink 1 before we start.
