Hi Everyone
Mixed Rinks will NOT commence tomorrow evening (10th Aug) as there are some NIPGL Competitions on the Green.
However, they will commence on Mon 17th at 6:00 p.m. The early start is due to CIYMS STILL CLOSING AT 9:00 p.m. The mixed rinks will take place on both Monday and Tuesday from that date as long as Guidelines permit.
The format will be 5 rinks of mixed triples, with the first 30 members to arrive and sign in: anyone arriving after the first 30, will be given priority listing for the next session if they so desire.
If you have a preferred evening it would be helpful if you would let me know: some have already expressed a preference.
To prevent handling the discs the organiser for the evening will draw the discs and inform members which rink they are on.
After a few sessions, the situation will be reviewed and adjustments made accordingly.
………………………………………………………………………………………..
As only a small number expressed interest in the Club Competitions these will now not take place
……………………………………………………………………………………………
The Mental Health Charity match will be held on Friday 14th Aug at 2:00 p.m. when Neil Booth will play 3 ends against Richard Sweeney on his travels around bowling clubs in Ireland, visiting as many Clubs as possible, to raise funds for mental health.
The Club has already contributed £200 including President Irene’s contribution to the Charities. Anyone who wishes to contribute may do so via the link on the IBF website or can give it to Neil on Friday.
…………………………………………………………………………………………..
Finally (I’m sure you are glad to hear) … This year’s Annual Dinner has been cancelled.

Best regards
Nan

Hi everyone
The committee has agreed that we should participate in the’ 50 Club Challenge’, which is detailed below, to support Mental Health Charities.
Neil Booth, IBF High-Performance Coach, plans to visit CI Knock on 14th August at 2.00 p.m. to play 3 ends against a member of our Club in his journey around Irish clubs.
If you would like to be the lucky person (male or female) please let me know by Saturday 25th. The name will be ‘drawn from the hat’ at our next committee meeting.
The Club will be donating to the Charities, but if you wish to donate personally, please do so via the Just Giving Page on the Irish Bowling Federation website.

To all members,
I just heard yesterday evening of the passing of Jim Cummings’ sister, Ethel.
Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with Jim and his family at this sad time.

Hi everyone,
As there has been some trouble with non-bowlers we have to make a slight change in policy re. leaving the far gate open.
If you find that no-one has arrived to follow you on the rink, please lock the gate as you leave using the combination lock (right way up, please).
This, of course, means that you may arrive to find the gate locked. You will need to use the combination lock.
Hand sanitising solution will be available just inside the gate.
Regards
Nan
